So what are you lovely people up to on this fine Halloween?

Weather permitting we (my neighbour and I) will be decorating on Halloween and collecting for charity if anyone wants to donate on the night they can but its not essential. Some of the older members will know we like to decorate.. hopefully the weather changes and its a sunny or just a dry not windy day. We've collected even more decorations for this year so excited to put them up for the trick or treaters... although they only mean treats these days lol. Got a stash of sweets ready, so we'll be out from about 1pm till about 8pm!!

Sadly we dont have Halloween in the Netherlands, we have carnaval here and parades, but im not into that

The other people where I live are devout Christians, strangely enough they don't believe in all manner of other worldly animals like I do, especially the type who go bump during the dark hours of night.

I live in a locked building, so I never get trick-or-treaters. I've been walking around my neighborhood enjoying the decorations. Lots of inflatable stuff this year; I hope it doesn't get windy! I listened to some Edgar Allan Poe short stories as an audiobook. I've put up a few crepe pumpkins and other little things in my own place.

We got hit by strong winds and even non-inflateables were affected. I found a few bones scattered around by the winds.

(Just to make clear, these were plastic bones. 😀)

I've been pretty depressed lately and unmotivated to do as much as I normally would for my favorite holiday, but I did manage to put up my decorations the other day, which definitely cheered me up. I'm also planning to watch both Halloween Buffy episodes tonight. I am working Halloween weekend, and costumes are encouraged so I'm dressing up as both Buffy and Rosie the Riveter! We're having a party Saturday night with a DJ, karaoke and costume contest and me and my coworker came up with some fun drink specials. It should be a good time! I do plan to leave an honor system bowl of candy on my porch for the trick or treaters.

I'm doing a Buffyverse vampire. I have two prosthetics - one is for basically training and the other is the better quality one for the actual day of Halloween.

I have never done SFX before, especially not prosthetics, but I found a ton of great video guides! I am SO excited!

Overall, not bad I don't think for having never done this before!I got a lot of attention while taking my son trick or treating, and ran into some fellow Buffy fans in the neighborhood, including two Spuffies, so win!I think the most shocking thing was a woman that did cosmetology and had done some SFX work telling me how good I did on the blending.I know there's room for improvement, but I'm very pleased with this!

Had to take several trams to get (almost) to airport at 3 something in the morning. Now we finally see all the Halloween costumed people on their way home after what appears to be night of frivolity. Gah 2nd Halloween in a row we missed the fun cause weather or early flight. 😒

We had a great evening. Treaters were out from 4.30 - 8pm. Raised some money for charity which we'll count up later today and get banked. Was bluming cold last night out. Knackered today lol.
