Who should have been a victim of Angelus?

I think the "most unfair thing to ever happen in the Buffyverse" would have to go to demon hunter Holtz rushing home only to find his wife has been raped & murdered and his daughter turned into a soulless demon that he now has to kill while she pleads for her life. And then when he's transported centuries into the future for vengeance, the two vampires who reveled in destroying his life are alive, seemingly still together, and expecting a miracle baby even though no vampires in history have ever conceived.

Or that Drusilla is the only member of the Whirlwind who was never given the chance to redeem.

I would agree with Holtz's situation being the most unfair but since he went after baby Connor, who was completely innocent I've lost my sympathy for him so I wouldn't consider what happens to him as unfair as Cordy's situation. What's truly unfair is sending a baby to hell..which Holtz did.

It's not unfair that Drusilla never got a redemption story, I don't think that would be possible with her mental state. And to me only Angel is truly working towards redemption out of all of the whirlwinds, so she's not missing much.

Cordelia chose to believe that because she suffered for 2 years she was the best of mankind and that the universe finally noticed she was a Higher Being and left Earth for an unspecified dimension to do unspecified work. Every step of the way she made the wrong choice and was called extraordinary and praised for it.

I respect Cordy for putting the importance of her visions before herself, she was becoming useful and it was saving people's lives so of course she'd ignore anything that was wrong with them. Cordy did that for the right reasons, so it's unfair that she was punished to such a high extent. And yeah Cordy wanted to feel "needed" because she liked who she was with Angel, which includes fighting the good fight. Doesn't mean she was asking for what happened to her, it doesn't make it just or fair. IMO, the complete opposite.

I would have hated it because I love the character but killing Gunn would have been interesting. Gunn never truely trusted Angel because he was a vampire and him dying from Angelus would make his suspicions valid. It would show that no matter close you get to Angel, he still has a monster inside and his friends can never get too close to him. I can just see Angelus telling Gunn that he was write to never trust Angel and them kill him.

Oh, I think it would be neat if he went off to kill that one actress from Season 1. On the grounds that you don't get manipulate the Demon with the Angelic Face and get away with it.
