So... this reminded me a bit of Thor: Ragnarok (and not just because of Idris Elba) in that there's a science fantasy realm being invaded. If, you know, Ragnarok was rubbish.
It tried too hard to be funny along with action. Which worked in Ragnarok ("He's a friend from work!") but in this it felt forced. It tried to lean too hard into the comedy, instead of letting it flow naturally. Skeletor was trying to be a hammy villain but couldn't pull it off. Especially as he looked like a man with a rubber skull mask and two LEDs on stalks. Which was probably what he was; it's just not supposed to look as if he is.
Not great and I can't see either sequel hook panning out into one.
Got the boxset for birthday and probably haven’t watched an episode for 15-20 years. It gives me nostalgic memories of discovering classic comedies like this on Paramount comedy. Great cast, and has the same sort of quirky, sharp wit and charm as something like Cheers (RIP James Burrows).
Waiting for The Traitors AU tonight. If they have murdered my precious AJ I will cry and hate Kirby forever. AJ is my one true reality tv love and I want there to be reality tv conventions so I can go and meet him and hug him and get a photo with him and slip my number into his pocket.

Yes, I tend to watch multiple shows at once. And yes, at the moment, I'm rewatching several things that I've already watched (Stargate, Star Trek, Knight Rider, High Incident (though not since I was a kid), and Cheers.) This is why my list of things to watch always expands instead of shrinks. I can't stop going back to stuff I already know I love.
I rewatched Fern Gully a couple of years ago, Ember. I thought it still held up really well. It's just a great, fun movie. Were you still happy with it after your latest viewing?
I'm rewatching "The Walking Dead" for the first time ever! There are so many plot points I forgot about in the later seasons! I'm on Seaosn 8 now and thoroughly enjoying it. I don't remember most of the stuff that's happening in the show right now so it's kinda like watching it for the first time!
I had this experience with my rewatch of Stargate. It had been so long that much of it was almost new to me again. I got to fall in love with the show a second time, which was nice. You don't get to do that often.
The Mandalorian S2. Fun Star Wars stuff, though a bit too much shoot-'em-up for me. Does anyone ever notice that Stormtroopers can't hit the side of a barn, and their armor has no integrity to the least little blaster hit? This has been true ever since the first movie. You can literally run in front of them while they're shooting, not get hit, and then kick them hard and they will die.😆
I actually have a theory about this. The armor is that originally used by the Clones (this is obvious.) After the war, genetic instabilities caused the clones to die off via rapid aging (information found in the old Expanded Universe), but the new Stormtroopers are still using their armor, meaning it is ill-fitted for them and they cannot see or move properly in it. They are also being used as cannon fodder, disposable to the Empire, so many new troopers are being pushed through the Imperial Academy with the bare minimum of training.
As to the weakness of their armor, it is clearly not blaster proof, though that may not actually be its intention. Blasters release heat when they strike objects (leaving scorch marks on stone, etc.), which means there's a transfer of thermal and kinetic energy, which is probably what's knocking them out, but we don't (most of the time) know that they're actually dead, only that they're disabled.
Not to be a big geek, but ... well, I'm a big geek.
Finished s3 of M*A*S*H.
Accidentally spoiled myself when I was preparing to watching the series from the beginning and knew what was coming for a couple of the characters.
Will finish watching a couple of other things and then begin s4.
the whisper man(netflix-2026)- what a mess and missed opertunity, the story goes all over the place and i was lost after 10 minutes in it, De Niro is on cruise control and the rest of the cast is boring, bad,bad,bad--2/10
Better than Suicide Squad I think, because at least this time they didn't waste half the movie giving backstories for all the characters, but it could probably have been tightened up some.
My conclusion about FURIOUS(no spoilers) it was a very very good drama serie, sometimes on the edge, and many times over it, every episode was a thrill ride a survival, Never have i saw a better serie in this genre, its really that good 10/10(on HULU)---> spread the word
