What Season Would You Rewrite?

Won't go into a ton of detail but these are the biggest changes I'd like to make:

S2 - I'd have Angelus be a bit more brutal. Show him terrorising Sunnydale, maybe an increase in victims.

I like S4, but I'd just change the Big Bad to Maggie.

S5 - no Spike falling 'in love' with Buff. Just a realisation the chip is causing some weird obsession. Still tries to take it out, and therefore gets chased out of Sunnydale. Riley leaving under different circumstances.

S6 - Okay, Tony Head left for personal reasons, so you can't alter that but at least give him a better reason for leaving. Dark Willow storyline comes in earlier. Ethan maybe instead of Rack. Less screen time for the Trio. Have a mini-arc with Spike again somewhere, maybe he teams up with Dark Willow? Haven't thought too far ahead of his fate or if he'd return again in s7.

S7 - Bring Wood in earlier, get rid of Andrew, more focus on the core four, and as someone said above, make the Potentials more likeable. Oh, no Kennedy, or if she has to be there, no relationship with Willow. Felt too forced. More Faith.

I'd have Angelus so dark that only HBO or Showtime would show it. I'm sure it would have a very different audience today were I able to rewrite s2 and make it happen back then.

Great idea, NAS!

And can you imagine if BTVS was on HBO, what we would've had? Angelus really unleashed!

Resurrection spells having nasty side effects would play into existing lore, as mentioned in S5, rather than introducing something completely new just to ruin people's lives. And Willow could have a Jekyll and Hyde persona; Dark Willow knows about her; she doesn't know about Dark Willow. She's doing bad, but not knowing it. Which could mean that early in the season, Willow is trying to investigate herself.

Can we just all get together, pool our ideas and do some rewrites for the show? It'll be awesome! 😎
 
Dark Willow wasn't a change in Willow's moral alignment, it was going mad with grief while under the influence of Lady Satan and her dark magiks. It's not like she killed younglings or something.
