What do you think Buffy's favorite weapon is?

She uses a stake more than anything else, but is it her favorite weapon to use? She's also been know to lean towards crossbows, although she'll resourcefully use just about any weapon that is available to her. In my opinion, she likely prefers crossbows over stakes when she's fighting someone that she believes to be very strong, like The Master, because she would rather attack them from a distance without having to go hand-to-hand. But when she's just fighting lowly vampires, she tends to use a stake, because she knows it gets the job done. She's used many other weapons besides a stake and a crossbow - an axe, a sword, a rocket launcher, a knife - to name a few.
What do you guys think her favorite weapon is?
 
Never thought about that. She does use different weapons. I'd say her favorite is her hands. lol. Other than that, I'd say maybe a stake. I like in "I Will Remember You" when she and Angel were in the sewers and she has a stake, and Angel asks why she brought that cause it is not a vampire, she just says "cause I know how to use it". Which I like cause that's Buffy at her core slayer-ness. lol. But the show does like it's crossbows.
 
I think she likes kicking things. But as far as weapons, stakes, then crossbow, but this is my fave Buffy + Weapon combo

We're talking preferences, here, as opposed to practicality, so I would say, Buffy favors the crossbow, despite the fact that it is probably the worst single choice of all the weapons available to her.

Hand weapon she seems to like a stake- like Mr. Pointy- or an axe.

Ranged- always the crossbow, 'cause nobody knows how to use anything else except Riley and Wesley. 😉

But really she always seemed more comfortable with kicking and punching fighty-ness than with weapons.
In the comics she likes the Scythe a fair bit.

Seriously, this was Buffy's favourite weapon even before she was the slayer. And she can't stake/slay something without making fun of it first. Vampire, demons, Hell God, ultimate source of evil, Buffy's best and favourite weapon is telling them just how stupid they are just before she kills them.

The scythe by now I guess, but otherwise I would say the stake. It's like an extension of her arm.
 
I think she enjoyed the wooden staff, especially when beating up Giles in training
 
Mr. Pointy, because it's her 'baby', so to speak. The first weapon she learned was a stake, so there is some sentimental value there. I would say she likes using things that are sharp, such as scythes, crossbows, knives (Faith's to be exact!), etc. Rocket launcher gets props because it ends up becoming fire, which Slayers are drawn to.
