Unhealthy obsession

Can anyone relate? I once spent £900 in one week on collectable items... That was a different fandom and a different character but I practically tore myself to shreds over him. Now I'm making the same mistakes with Andrew. The fact that he's so hated by most people makes it worse. I want to build a hoard and protect him from the cruel world.

Fortunately most Buffyverse collectibles don't appeal to me so I m immune to their charms 🙂

I would crawl over broken glass to fight in a gladiator pit for a Bluray boxset of Buffy and Angel though . I suspect I d even buy a copy of the remaster , just so I could spurn it from the comfort of my own home 🙂 .

I m also drawn to the weapons . Fortunately most of the collectible Buffy weapons aren't my cup of tea . I would seriously consider some of the Magic Box training weapons or some of the stuff at the Hyperion . I managed to track down a few pieces from United cutlery . I m not too interested in 'replica' or convention pieces ...more the real deal .

I haven't bought any yet because my actual need for bladed weapons and crossbows is quite limited .

BTW I love Tom Lenks performance as Andrew , especially in season 7 . At first I resented the character having so much focus at the cost of Scoobiage ...but Lenk was doing such good work he won me over on the rewatches 🙂 .

I used to spend a lot of money back then when I had money to do that. But I can totally relate, I used to crawl to collectible things back when I was younger. Now I prefer to live the fandom and the life of a fan in many different ways and that does not always mean to spend a lot of money.

Anyways, I can understand on yout Andrew protection. I love him and as more as I read about the hate the more I liked it and when I first saw Andrew on season 7 the more I liked it and Tom Lenk is just badass. I'm with you!
