Thoughts on dawn in season 7?

Loved watching this show as a child rewatching it almost 20 years later I have a whole new love for it. However I remember dawn being introduced in season 5 I grew to like her more so in season 6 she was cute and caring. Then in season 7 she had this new makeover new attitude and rude towards Buffy I remember one scene put me off her in the episode help when Cassie asked if she was buffys little sister she rolled her eyes and said to her no she’s my sister. And In one episode in Xander’s car on the way to school dawn told Buffy she didn’t want her talking to any of her friends like she was 20 odd years older than her. Or sitting in her sisters office in the school complaing that she borrows her clothes without asking. When she threw Buffy out of her house that was it I remember being so annoyed at her for that then in chosen Buffy went to talk to her and she rudely said no anything you say is gonna sound like goodbye and walked off. Everything about her during this season bothered me she was never this annoying in previous seasons. Season 6 is always my fav Buffy season some people hated it but I honestly thought it was brilliant. What was your opinion on dawn in season 7?

I always liked Dawn and S6 is one of my favourite seasons. I only started watching BtVS in season 5 so I assumed for a long time she was always there lol. I never had a problem with most of what she said except in the episode Normal Again. I didn’t like her telling Buffy to leave her house, but I thought she felt she had no choice and she did tell Rona to shut up afterwards, implying that a part of her didn’t want to do it.

Season 6 is my favourite season, but I thought Dawn was great in all the seasons she was in. She matured a great deal over those three years, and by Season 7 she was a strong young woman. Yes she and Buffy butted heads, but I'm sure all sisters do that. I like the way Dawn is cheeky to Buffy, and sets her own boundaries and expects her sister to respect them, even if she is the Slayer.

Most of that is just sister stuff or mother/daughter stuff there's 6 years between Buffy and Dawn and she was her guardian so it makes sense.
Plus Dawn clearly took no pleasure in asking Buffy to leave what other choice did she have when Buffy clearly wasn't going to back down and refused to follow anyone else.

Ugh she kind of annoyed me in Season 7 just her general attitude to Buffy. I understand Buffy can be quite closed off but Dawn never missed a chance to try to make Buffy feel guilty and after everything Buffy did for her too and don’t get me started when she asked her to leave her home. I was so angry. So yeah not a super fan 😀
