The sexuality of the characters of the Buffyverse

Well I'm a lot on personal sexuality at the moment I know (it's because of Angel season 5) personal:

Buffy: Heteroflexible she had an attraction for Faith then Satsu she slept with her twice I would say 90% men 10% women

Alex: Heteroflexible he likes women but has a certain attraction for men (Spike, Riley and Dracula) I would say 90% women 10% men

Willlow: Bi preference for women, she loved Alex then Oz and was attracted to them then Tara so 80% women 20% men

Giles: Heteroflexible he clearly liked women but I think he had a soft spot with Ethan of the lot 95% women 5% men

Spike: Straight he fell in love with Dru then Buffy had a relationship with Harmony however he slept with Angel once I think they were drunk and didn't want to do it again and he doesn't show attraction for men so 100 % hetero%

Angelus: Heteroflexible I have the impression that he slept with another man so 90% of women 10% of men

Angel: 100% straight, nothing proves he loves men with a soul

Faith: Bisexual she likes men physically she likes Buffy and is attracted to her maybe 65% of men 35% of women

Anya: Heteroflexible she likes men but I think she has already slept with a woman also slept with a demon then she found that casting a spell with it

Willow was hot 95% male 5% female Tara: definitely 100% lesbian

Cordelia: Straight she loves men she has never shown aversion to a woman she is 100% straight

Dru: Pansexual, she looks too crazy for me to care who she sleeps with, I wouldn't give an estimate

Darla: Bisexual inclined to men, she would sleep with men or women if she can have what she wants 70% of men and 30% of women

Andrew: Definitely gay I don't doubt it

Harmony: Straight nothing indicates the opposite unless there is a certain Charlize Theron so 99.5% straight and 0.5% women

Dawn: she is very young to know but I would say bi her crush for Alex and Spike then she goes out with Alex in the comics

Riley: Asexual is my opinion but I have the impression that he is not attracted to anything romantically I would say 100% women So there you go, give me your opinion

Love this idea! im gona give my take on them, but a heads up that i found the series in general overwhelming heterosexual.

Buffy: Hetero. Kisses and has sex with only men. Only seems attracted to men.

Alex: Hetero. Only seen to kiss and have sex with women. Some jokes/awkardness here and there when a "gay joke"comes up

Willlow: A tougher one because of her being completely hetero in the first 3 seasons with no signs of anything else and then BAM - completely gay for the rest of the series. I like to think of willow as only gay now

Giles: Hetero. Only seen kissing and having sex with women and no other evidence or interaction with men - not even a quick look at another man.

Spike: Overwhelmingly hetero - evidence of him only with women for hundreds of years. Also uses homophobic language (which i found disgusting but thats for another thread). Drussila, Buffy, Anya, and random women throughout the series. Completely hetero

Angelus: Hetero. again only ever seen with women and no evidence otherwise

Angel: hetero

Faith: hetero. kisses/has sex with men, no other scenes to show other wise. i dont view her interactions with buffy as sexuality/attraction-based (more soul connection/slayer/warrior/fight death adrenaline based)

Anya: hetero. kisses and has sex with xander and spike. no women. flashback scene to 1000 years ago shes in a hetero relationship. no real evidence otherwise

Tara: 100% gay !!

Cordelia: hetero completely

Dru: i agree with your "she looks too crazy to really know" (ad libbing) comment haha XD . yes agreed, well i think shes only seen with spike so id say hetero but who knows XD

Darla: i cant remember her scenes too clearly but i think she only showed hetero interactions

Andrew: Gay i think ( the only gay male in the entire series which sux but again thats for another thread)

Harmony: hetero. only seen with spike ( i think from memory) and never shown desiring women

Dawn: hetero. only shown desiring/kissing boys in the show

Riley: hetero. kissing/sex with buffy, chooses female vampires to get physical with/the blood sucking scenes etc. then marries a woman after buffy.

There was Larry as gay who is killed pretty fast after he comes out and stops being a jerk, and they kinda killed the bi Vampire Willow TWICE.

Harmony did express one same sex interest. Her comment to Spike: "No threesomes unless it's boy, boy, girl, or Charlize Theron."

Since the comics are canon, Buffy did have a brief (2 nights) same sex encounter with another slayer.

comics are canon in the way that didn't care about TV canon. Basically just stamped that way so Joss and crew gets paid for their fanfic when superior fanfic more aligned with the TV series was free on the net.
I take it that those who wrote the first two posts haven't seen Ats as in that Darla tells Angel she 'slept' (she didn't really go to sleep at all) with Dru, from the look on Dru's face she enjoyed it, so the possibility is she did it again.

Then we have the time that Dru became mum to Darla, bring on the kinky!

You're talking about them having a threesome with the Immortal (who is male) and then teasing Angelus and Spike while acting amorous afterwards. It's not what you described. Your scene never happened.
oh yes i stand correct there was that scene with harmony! i liked that scene, so yeh she gets a few percentage points towards gay. maybe 90/10...

re: Ats and the Comics, honestly im glad there is at least slightly more gay scenes/romances. It would have been truly amazing to put it in the main 7 seasons of buffy to balance out things a bit...but oh well! maybe ill read the comics one day. thx🙂

It would be remiss of me to not point out that Wheaton always intended for Buffy and Faith to be a thing, and Dushku openly admitted to playing Faith as though she had a crush on Buffy. There was even a scripted kiss, but it was never implemented - it became a quick kiss on Buffy's forehead instead.

I didn't know this info. Thanks!

That's not true. Whedon only jumped on the bandwagon years later upon rewatch, admitting at the time he intended no such thing and didn't see any subtext at the time. That's a revisionist reading from what the writers wrote and intended.
