I'm seriously surprised. It was the first thing I noticed! I think he strokes her hair in the first shot. Her thumb stroking his hand and their eyes blinking are the only movements in this one. In the third shot it's the kiss. I have totally dissected those scenes. Together they form a triangle and their hands are almost always at the centre of the screen.

She does a similar thing on the second night.

That looks eerily like the stunt double. Just for a moment. Where do people find these authentic extracts that never actually make the aired shows???

When you see there were additional or extended sex scenes that didn't make it to the final cuts it does make SMG's pov that there was too much sex going on more understandable (you can hear her complain during a break in shooting the balcony scene in the dailies). I never thought the Spuffy sex scenes were gratuitous or too excessive personally (unlike WTWTA, bleargh). But as it was depicting a sexual relationship over a few episodes they were understandably repeated and shooting several more that weren't used, with all the takes etc, I can see how it might have felt non stop. Now why you'd complain about feeling like you were having sex with Spike non-stop, now that's a different matter all together. 😛

I think if you watch the dailies or on set clips on You Tube you can see some of the takes/behind the scenes work as they were shooting, so perhaps they just come from those kinds of vids??

That's not a double it's from Dailies so James looks back after the shot. I think the other Deadmeat Palace sex scene replaced this one but I prefer this one better cuz the other one was very depressing Buffy looked soo broken on that one. Don't you think? But again if I was given a chance I would have kept both😛

Yes that whole depressed look made me feel so bleh! But I always thought she gave him one sweet fleeting look into his eyes before they got down and dirty. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part.
I have heard some suggest it could work on a T-shirt. Not sure how I'd feel about that.
