Speculation on Season 11 #12?

It's Buffy's name on the title, so she gets all the power 🙂 Faith achieves another step towards redemption (for me) when she so quickly gives up her power for Buffy.
 
Do we have the #11 previews out? I saw a photo of Buffy holding the Scythe looking like a badass on tumblr is that from #11?
 
In the S11 Giles comic thread people are speculating on S11 being the end of Buffy for awhile since there is no S12 announcement. I'm getting anxious to know what happens. The Angel comic is still running. Is it possible all of our guys will get sent to another dimension and then angel will come rescue them for a huge crossover arc? I don't read angel, is he still in the past?

Angel is still in the past and he has several more issues to go to the end of the season. The two comics are so different, Angel is in his past and Buffy is incredibly current and taking on the politics of the day, that I think it would be very difficult to meld the two arcs together. But who knows, anything could happen. I've loved S11 and it it ends now, it'll end on a high, but I hope it's ending.

According to the solicitations, Angel
will be back in the present as of issue #11, which comes out in November. But then the last issue is in December so there's not much time to have a crossover arc.

You mean you hope it's NOT ending, right? I guess if the last full season of BtVS ends with Buffy being the sole slayer and telling Spike she loves him, that would be fitting in a way, even if that makes me want to gnash my teeth and rend my garments. 😉 But the Giles miniseries as a coda to that would be kinda weird, then. So I'm hoping we get a Season 12 announcement in the spring, and they're just leaving more time between seasons to give Joss and the creative team time to come up with something good.
 
@Grace Lol, yes I hope it's NOT finishing! 🙂 It's actually quite exciting to think there could be a crossover . . . and that Angel actually changes something important in his past. It would really interesting if that had an affect on Spike and Dru in some way.

I get how annoying it would be for you if Buffy announced her love for Spike, but of course at the other end of the spectrum you have us Spuffy shippers waiting wtih baited breath and we'll be devestated it it doesn't happen 🙁 And Buffy will never stop loving Angel, he's as much part of her as I think Spike is now.

It would be odd for the series to finish with a Giles mini series, but Joss appears to be heavily involved, which could signify this is his way of saying goodbye. Or my imagination is just going wild 🙄

Thanks for posting this @Grace. It looks really good and I am excited to read it 🙂 Have you seen the Angel one? He's talking about not letting Darla sire him, he and Fred sleep in Liam's family barn, then Angel goes to knock on the window of his family home.

I like the line 'I got Wise' - lots of meanings there.

I hope Willow doesn't simply defeat her by magic, I hope Buffy and the power of all the Slayers actually does it.
 
Does it bother anyone else that in the series that Spike and Angel are stronger than other vamps? If that was a run of the mill Joe blow vamp, he would be dusted.
Or does this go back to last season when we find out that Spike and Angel are from a more 'purer' descendant of vampire? Hence having a larger tolerance to destruction?

Normal vamps are ridiculously flammable 😛 However, Spike isn't burnt by flames, he is burnt by purple light.

It bothers me more when humans are able to fight vamps too easily or survive things that should maim or kill them.

Light mediated by the scythe? In fact, he appears to have been hit by two different types of light - a weakened purple light and the white light, which has a very thin core of purple and is either emanating from or, deflected by, the scythe. Could one have damaged him and the other protected him? The scythe protected him because he's been feeding from Buffy? I wonder whether it's simply coloured light or whether it's alluding to radiation? So - rather than purple it's ultra-violet? Xander and Dawn were using sunbeds against vamps in S10.. He makes an aside about florescent lighting in Deadmeat Palace (Damn fluorescent lights. Makes me look dead) and the conversation was about Buffy proving she was a normal girl and not a demon. I'm only mentioning it because UV can mutate DNA - and it's the cause of sunburn (so Tara's metaphor for the change in Buffy after the resurrection). Gives a different meaning to "still undead...barely". Alternatively, it's just a pretty colour and I'm over-thinking it because a) I'm procrastinating and b) I'm still looking for that damned blue fairy. And where's The Key's pure green light!?
