Sexuality Spike ?

He's fully heterosexual.

I think he's just overcompensating with the hypermasculinity and gay slurs because he was mocked and ridiculized as a human, mama boy, and poet. As is often the case with men like him, putting as much distance as possible from 'feminine' aspects/traits is a way to protect himself from ever being mocked again.

Joss said he and Angel slept with each other on the Hole in The World DVD Commentary

There is not a ton of evidence of bisexuality, but I also think he would shag anyone he thinks is shaggable, regardless of gender. So I think heteroflexible.
I agree with this and remember his comment and him and Angel not being intimate except for that one…

He's trisexual...meaning he'd try anything once.
he and I have that in common... LOL

What do you think is Spike's sexuality?

Hetero
Heteroflexible
Bisexual (2 equal)
Bisexual (prefers opposite sex)

I'm not going to put Gay ... because we doubt that spike is not gay

For me I would say hetero I think especially that if Angelus and Spike have slept together once and that Spike has not had another sexual relation with other men it is clear that he is hetero I think that this only once was an experience or domination on Angelus' part
Before he was turned I believe he would of loved WHOEVER loved him back.

After the change, his fixation on the one woman he wrote poems about turned into how he would be with every woman that he was into. So Spike as we know him was totally hetero.

To me, I differentiate between soulless Spike and Spike with a soul because its fair to say that a demon doesn't care about whatever hang-ups they had in life but a souled person would probably be more tied to their mortal self.

Same with Angel/Angelus or any other vampire.

I mean, nobody really speculates about human!Darla's sexuality even when she's canonically, slept with Drusilla when she was a vampire.

That is a good point that I didn’t thought of

This tryst between Angel and Spike might be like hetero men who get sent to prison and are "gay for the stay". I think Spike is hetero.

Have we ever had a thread asking about Angel's sexuality? After all, it took both of them to make us suspect Spike's sexuality and I don't see any such connection with Angel and any other man. Some people may suspect a relationship between him and Lindsey, but Angel ordered Lindsey killed. You can take that as concern for what he was about to become or a really bad lover's quarrel.

I have a really hard time picturing Angelus and Spike having sex with each other alone, for one thing how would either of them live that down and not ever bring it up?

I could see Angelus and Spike together while in a foursome with Darla and Drusilla but that's about it.

I did wonder if Spike might be homosexual which he might . .. .. unless it was with Angel or Xander beast!

Another way of looking at it, a spike to test if you are of the same gender persuasion, that sounds a bit too painful.

are you kidding me... you can't tell me him and Dru and Angel weren't having some crazy ass threesomes... I don't know if you'd consider that bisexual or whatever, but he had to have sex with Angel, even just one time and even if it was just for Drus benefit... Its practically canon to me. Anyway here is an interesting video someone shared with me:

Spike confirms this himself to Illyria
Why remain hetero if you’re an immortal demon?

Um...because people can't choose who their attracted to? Sexuality isn't a choice.

There's a distinct difference between 'I'll try anything once' (which is what Spangel most likely is) and 'I'm totally bisexual.'

What if Angelus and Spike were 'intimate that one time' and then said 'yeah, that wasn't very good, let's not do that ever again because we both obviously like women a lot more' and then they got their souls back and they changed anyway.

For me, if we're gonna go down the 'Angel and Spike route then it should develop, naturally, from their circumstance in Season 5 and beyond. They have a unique connection now. Yes, their history informs it, but its not like they were that close before-hand, what with the torture and trying to kill each other. And let's not forget that when they were fighting it was over a woman (Dru or Buffy).

I totally agree with everything you said.
Maybe hetero-flexible or curious or on the sexuality spectrum if it were a one time thing (like was implied in 'Power Play').

It would've been really interesting if the Angel/Spike relationship had been explored more post-AtF, and one way that could've been done was romantically.

But that's not what we got.

At last look I saw Spike as a vampire.
Vampires do not have any inhibition.
A vampire will do what it wants to do.
So don't classify them as this or that

Because Spike cannot be bothered if
you are homo, lesbian, man, woman,
or of any persuasion be they forced
As long as Spike gets what he wants.

Yet if an episode of the series BTVS
was released as an episode of Porn
you would see who or what Spike
might enjoy himself with, and smile !

Call me cynical, but the romance between Willow and Tara was written to attract non-hetero interest and the throwaway comment "except for that one time" was just another instance of the same thing. A larger than random number of people on this forum define themselves as non-hetero and for a television show that had been a prime mover in this direction, it was another recognition that once you have enough people in an ensemble cast, not everything fits in a hetero pigeonhole. Just think of all the commentary that has been generated on this forum from the five words "except for that one time". I see it as "in for a penny, in for a pound" and see it as successful writing.
