I'm going to assume these recasting threads are for a hypothetical reboot. Therefore, I'd choose Natalie Dormer to play a rebooted version of Drusilla.

It might seem like an odd choice but it could work.

No. I'd let them use their natural accents. They're both from the London area anyway.

I think if there was a rebooted Buffy, it shouldn't be a scene for scene remake. The characters could have the same names and have things in common with the originals but shouldn't be direct copies of the originals. So a Tom Hiddleston and Natalie Dormer Spike and Dru would be different from the James Marsters and Juliet Landau Spike and Dru but still recognisable as the characters if that makes sense.

I understand . Natalie Dormer has a totally different look than Juliet Landau so I think as long as they recognizable as Dru & Spike it be ok .

Ever since watching Legion, and other than Juliette Lewis, I'd say that Aubrey Plaza is a prime candidate for Drusilla.

She looks like a good choice. Plus a lot of people seen her as acting almost disconnected. So she will be nice 😀
