Ok . And you got a very long list to watch ! LOl .

Burn After Reading - 7.5/10
Absolutely hilarious film. I get why many people don't like this film, but I love the completely nonsensical plot. And Brad Pitt is brilliant in this.

I also enjoyed it, even though it's weird
The 33 (2015) - 7/10

Some of the dialogue is weak but it's still a solid, heartfelt look at a real-life accident and features an incendiary performance from Antonio Banderas.

Ted 2: 3/10. 1 pt for the animation of Ted, which was again quite good, one point for the hilarious brawl at the comic-con and one point for the Gollum joke. The rest was crap. Unfunny, insulting, and what's more really dated. Jokes about weed? Is it suddenly the mid-ninties again? Dumb movie.

Triple 9 - 5/10
It's actually quite hard to rate this film. The plot is basically about corrupt cops performing various heists under pressure from gangsters. The main thing you pick up on is the tension. All the way through, every scene is very tense. It's dark and gritty with action scenes to match. I think where it falls down is that pretty much every character is a slight variant of angry and tough. So although it's tense and you're not sure what's going to happen, you're also not entirely invested in it either. I get the feeling that some people will really love this. I just thought it was OK and it's not something I'm likely to watch again.

I liked Ted! The first film was hilarious and surprisingly touching at the end. When the kid was punched out, I almost fell off my chair. The second was obviously very thin on plot and just made because the first was good. Still it was really funny and well worth checking out.

I liked Ted!

I liked Ted just fine. I was an inventive, original idea and had some good jokes. I never really cared about the plot, just the quality of the jokes. I don't mind crude humour when its done well.

The second was obviously very thin on plot and just made because the first was good.

But it isn't that. I didn't go in thinking 'Gosh, what will Ted be getting up to the time? I hope its thrilling.' I knew it would be somewhere between dumb and crude- basically a lot of set-up jokes strung together. that's cool.
But there was nothing here to hang all that on, Mark Wahlberg's character completely regressed to the no-life pot-smoking loser he was at the beginning of the first Film, Ted 2 just recycled the same jokes and added some new lows. There's a reason it bombed at the box office- people went in knowing what to expect and were disappointed.

Fair enough. I went in expecting it to be awful and came out pleasantly surprised. Definitely a case of just switching the brain off and having a laugh. The Kardashian joke and the white n****** line had me laughing.

In the Mood For Love (2000) 10/10

Poetic, beautifully emotive and subtle emotionally. The pace is steady and the characters nicely judged. The camera movements, editing and use of soundtrack is just stunning. The shots are richly framed, and full of depth. A masterpiece.

Agreed. Great movie!
Dracula (1992) - 8/10

Really good movie, and I like the use of practical effects. However, Keanu Reeves' performance was pretty weak.

Pixels-5/10
Peter Dinklage is great in this movie! His character is hilarious and the only good part of this movie. Nothing else makes any sense. Adam Sandler is getting too old to keep getting the hot girl at the end, and Kevin James as the President makes no sense! Josh Gadd is not bad, he's got some good moments but does go a bit over the top. It was cool seeing the old school video games though.

Mortecai-3/10
This is not a good movie. I thought it was just too over the top comedy, reminded me a bit of the Steve Martin Pink Panther. Maybe slightly better than that, cause I did like Paul Bettany in it.

Ouija-6/10

This I actually kind of enjoyed. It was better than I thought. The horror wasn't great and it was a bit predictable, but I thought the story of the spirits was all done pretty well. I think they should have focused more on that, then the group of teens, who I thought at first were in college but then they weren't. There a little bit of Final Destination in there. So I think you could have cut a lot of scenes and would have made it better. But it wasn't the worst horror movie I've seen. lol.

I actually can't watch it because of his acting, and that accent! Keanu seems like a lovely guy but really, he must have sold his soul for his career.

He was in that one movie where he did that...

Its a bit of a mess for me, and not the best screen version. Still I think it has interesting moments, and I think Oldman is great in the lead.

Have you seen the BBC adaption from the 70's with Louis Jordan? I thought that was a great effort. Worth watching if you haven't. 🙂
