So, Kaylee and Inara just happened to bump into someone Inara knows, who just happens to be wealthy and visiting the planet and just happens to be able to bring his own security force out to help. I really hope that he isn't going to be a deus ex machina to solve the situation.
We get some insights into Vandal's past and Book's own experiences prove useful with prepping everything for dealing with the bad guys.
Now, thanks to Jane overhearing a conversation between Jayne and Temperance, everyone "knows" now that she is Jayne's daughter. Except Temperance has not confirmed this. In fact, she has gone out of her way to deliberately not confirm this, with roundabout answers about how it's complicated. This is highly suspicious.

Didn't think much of this section. Too much backstory and not enough action!
The random gay billionaire willing to help Inara, but there had to be an almost bar fight.
I do like that Shepherd Book is more involved in the planning and action in this book though, hinting more towards his past.
For a book that is supposed to be focused on Jayne he's not really that involved, being stuck in bed!
