I feel like pretty soon we're going to have to have a forum just for threads about people's deaths, alas. But Yayoi was 97, so had a long life. I saw a show of her work some years ago, and it remains a highlight of my years of museum membership. The immersive exhibits (the Infinity Room, for example) especially were so engaging and thought-provoking. Ars longa, vita brevis.

I think this year has been particularly unfriendly in the creative wonderful people category. Also a lot of us are "a certain age" so we are in the demographic... My other forum has an "In memorium (year)" thread each year. Some years it seems way more active than others. This year sucks.
