It would be nice if the Bangel community could all congregate together. I feel like we're so spread out that it seems like there are really few of us in any one place. I feel like a major part of my life in the Jossverse has been chasing down the latest place to congregate!

I've loved seeing the B/A activity here lately. Thanks to @dcai0830 and others for sparking conversation!

Btw, the Blood Roses forum isn't very active anymore, but if anyone is in the mood to rewatch Season 3, we just started a couple of weeks ago and it would be easy to catch up.

I've had an account on Blood Roses for many years, but only posted a few times. I do go by there and read the forum a lot, though. The rewatch marathon had a lot of interesting comments.

I do prefer general forums better than 'shipper ones for the most part, as I actually like debate with people I disagree with (but are still cordial). My old haunt at BuffyForums was sadly murdered by the comics. It used to be great in its heyday, but now it's untouchable and nearly dead. I used to be over at IMDb's forums, which were thankfully not just a Spuffy paradise, but those are completely dead now. This forum seems to have taken its place and has a nice section of Bangels so that I don't feel hopelessly ganged up on.

Unfortunately, LJ has pretty thoroughly exited my life (people still use it?) and I barely used it in the first place. I pretty much only ever go on it to read rec'd fics from many years ago. If somebody needs a beta, though, either PM me here, post in this thread or perhaps on Tumblr's chat feature (NileQT87).

Yes, I know. I wasn't suggesting we go elsewhere. On the contrary, it would be nice if a place like here could attract some of the people from some of the other spots to get more of the active, vocal Bangels together.

Hark to that. Part of the reason I've been avoiding BtVS spaces is that I haven't felt enthused about the show lately, but I think part of that is just because I haven't watched it in so long. I always think that if I'm interacting with other fans I have to be producing in some way and I can't seem to write an entire sentence of Buffyverse fanfiction right now, but maybe what I really need is to get back to the roots and the rest will follow. 🙂

Haha!! I actually rewatched some of Angel's (1x07) scenes a few days ago to make a gifset. I think the buffering podcast made me refall in love with the episode.

Also, I've been listening to other podcasts and most of the other ones I've listened to annoy me to no end. My biggest pet peeve is when they keep interrupting each other or when they start going on about a different topic that has nothing to do with btvs and then start laughing. It's so annoying and part of why I think the Sunnydale Study Group podcast isn't for me at all. Though I'll give their IWRY episode a shot. If I remember correctly, that's the one you loved?

Sorry, my bad. I just thought that was where you were going. I am an admin for a Facebook group for an artist so it keeps me from coming in here as often as I would like to.

I actually went and advertised for this forum a bit citing our attempts to get more active (and I think we are, compared to how I felt it was before), as well as the IWRY sign-ups.

To be fair, we Bangels are pretty much all the exact same people in every BtVS/AtS group on FB. ::sigh:: But at least we do seem to have a somewhat active presence there and we do a good job of sticking up for Angel, AtS and Bangel in numerous wider fandom posts that would otherwise be Spuffy and BtVS-only echo chambers.

Not that I know of, although I'm sure there would be a few eager writers if someone were to start posting prompts, maybe here or on Blood Roses.

Taaroko's more familiar with Tumblr than me, so maybe she's something of the sort there.
