Okay, so maybe I'm the only one who isn't seeing the obvious, but can someone please tell me what the first innuendo is supposed to be in I'll Never Tell? I obviously get the one later on in the song ("with her lips as red as rubies and her firm yet supple-- tight embrace!") but I'm having a ridiculous time rhyming and trying to figure out what the first one was!!

Here are the lyrics in question:

XANDER:
She is the one, she's such wonderful fun
Such passion and grace
Warm in the night hen I'm right
In her tight
-- embrace, tight embrace

(copied exactly from soundtrack booklet)

Thanks in advance 🙂

I was being poetic because musical lyrics. I hardly ever skin and wear my bed partners.
Unless they hog the covers. Then its like poetic justice. But also gross.
I had started to think maybe that lyrics were meant to be some of that amazing foreshadowing that people talk about and that Xander's "accidental" killing of Anya, as witnessed in Hells Bells, was not that much of an accident at all. But then of course he would have to flay her afterwards and I do not believe he would have the stomach for that.

DAMN IT stupid keyboard messed it up. You know I meant "night when". (Super funny responses, btw)... still doesn't answer my original question though! I get what it's implying but is there a specific rhyming word/phrase: "tight ____" (rhymes with grace, maybe?)

I think you are overthinking it. It was the refrain of the song and that specific part was meant as a joke.

I guess it could be 'space' or 'place' to rhyme with 'grace'.

So it would be, um:
Warm in the night when I'm right
In her tight -

But really the joke is that Xander was so swept up in lusty feeling for Anya that he almost forgot to rhyme the damn line of the song. Hence the hurried 'embrace' bit.

Crawlspace? He was a construction worker after all... had one of those hats with the lights on it and all so as not to get lost in the dark and dank crawlspace.
