Hi all!

So I was thinking about the fact that Buffy survived all theses years as a slayer in great part because of her friends and family(but also her strength , intelligence, etc obviously). So I wanted to see if we could find all the moments that Buffy was saved by her friends. I'm gonna list 5 and let you guys add some 🙂

Here are my five moments I can think of at the top of my head:

1 - Xander proceed CPR on Buffy and revive her in Prophecy girl
2 - Angel saves Buffy from the vampires elite in Angel
3- Joyce saves Buffy from Spike in School Hard
4- Giles saves Buffy and the gang from Spike in Halloween
5- Giles saves Buffy and the gang from Anyanka's spell in the Wish

Feel free to discuss if you don't agree with me 🙂

What about that time Buffy was stabbed in the stomach by a vampire? I'm pretty certain that if Riley hadn't come along she may have been killed.

Arguably, Angel saved Buffy from Pete, and Riley broke the box that freed Buffy and allowed her to scream. Even without the plot armor I think she could've prevailed in these cases without the help, but technically they did do this for her.

Oh yeah, Angel got the heart of the telepath demon to cure Buffy (I think Giles pointed out the cure). That's definitely being saved, she'd been gone without that help.

And also the same for Giles saving Buffy from the crazy vampire in the Cruciamentum...twice actually, because when Buffy was pretty much beaten down after defeating the crazy one more from trickery another attacked, but Giles intervened (this is part of the reason why I think if I were Buffy I'd have forgiven him for what he did...but not as Joyce!).

Xander saved Buffy from the evil coach (who had a gun) and fish monsters. Even if Buffy won against the fish monsters (extremely unlikely), the coach would've still shot her, so yeah Xander a second time. (Technically Xander saves the entire world in season 6 which includes Buffy, btw.)

And I do strongly believe Buffy would've failed against Adam without the magical help, which is the entire team.

Willow saved Buffy from Glory ("thicken"), though right after Buffy saved Willow.

And I can't remember...did Faith save Buffy from being drowned? (That would be after Faith jumped into the sewers after the vampires to get an amulet and Buffy followed her.)

I'm gonna stop for now but know I'll remember a bunch more throughout the day.

Yeah she was saved by Riley from a vampire in Fool for love! You are right 🙂

Giles saves Buffy in Witch by reversing Amy's moms spell
Willow saved Buffy in Villains by removing the bullet from her chest
Xander technically saves Buffy and everyone else in The Zeppo from the school exploding
Willow/The Trio?? saved Buffy in Gone from turning into goopy pudding

Cordelia saves an exhausted, worn down Buffy from Gorch. Buffy may have still been able to take on Gorch, but it didn't look good for the Slayer, so yay for Cordelia in stepping up! (And this despite that they were rivals in the Homecoming Queen contest.)

Times Angel saved Buffy:
* his cross necklace saved her from Luke in the coffin
* pulled the Three off of Buffy going in for the kill and preoccupied them long enough for both to run
* staked Darla, who was shooting at Buffy
* led Xander to the Master's lair to save Buffy
* protected and carried Buffy away from danger when she was in a helpless state during the Halloween spell
* was the one to get Willow to look up Billy Fordham in the school records, thus exposing his fraud and his plan to sacrifice Buffy to Spike
* saved Buffy from Pete by strangling him
* got the second demon's heart and fed it to her to cure her telepathy
* got Buffy to the hospital in time after she forced him to feed from her against his will in a delirious state

Times Angel saved the other Scoobies or everyone:
* told Buffy about the Master, the Hellmouth and the Harvest, of which no one else knew (Willow, Xander and Cordy would be dead, and possibly Buffy, too, if the Harvest occurred)
* had a run-in with Claw, which led to Buffy following him and seeing the She-Mantis, thus saving Xander
* interrupted Darla from feeding on Joyce
* saved Xander, Willow and Giles from being suffocated by Marcie
* saved Jenny from Eyghon by putting the demon in danger
* pushed Willow out of the way from being electrocuted by Gwendolyn Post
* saved Xander from being strangled by Faith by hitting her over the head and chaining her up
* exposed Faith and the Mayor's treachery and plans for the Ascension by going undercover as Angelus
* was the person who gave key information that led to the Mayor's downfall: seeing him distraught over Faith at the hospital
* provided W&H's amulet that defeated the First Evil; none of the Scoobies or Potentials would probably have made it out of the Hellmouth otherwise

Dark Willow taking a bullet out of Buffy's chest certainly saved her life. Add to that Xander calling an ambulence, the paramedics who kept her alive to get to the hospital, etc. Nothing supernatural about a gunshot. And you can't really defend it. That whole sequence of events was a miraculous joint effort to save Buffy.

And Angel saved Buffy from Caleb -- when he was all timely.

Having just watched the first 2 eps a few hours ago, I think a case could be made that Xander really did help Buffy in the sewers. Ignoring plot armor and taking the scene at face value, Buffy would've been sucker punched so to speak by Jesse and may not have closed the door in time without Xander's help. She COULD have--maybe--still prevailed, but if I'd been in her shoes I'd have been glad Xander chose to come along to watch my back. Though Xander didn't do much, it was still enough to give Buffy better odds at survival, perhaps making it possible she survived the trap set for her at all.

Though this all got started with Willow "seizing the moment" (the first time Buffy's advice nearly gets Willow killed, and it won't be the last!) as without that then Buffy (and the rest) wouldn't have known what happened to Jesse, at least not until the Harvest.

Xander saved Buffy plenty of times. Some of the times Xander saves Buffy's life:

1) he pulled her out of the sewers in The Harvest when a vampire caught her foot.
2) Prophecy Girl.
3) He dusted the vampire in Phases that pinned Buffy down.
4) He saved Buffy from the fish monsters in Go Fish.
5) He pushed Buffy away when Toth shot her and Xander was hit by Toth's stick instead of Buffy.

I don't count Willow in Villains since Tara and Buffy were shot in the same part of the body with the same caliber bullet yet Tara died instantly while Buffy was still alive in the time it took Xander to call 911, the paramedics to get there, the drive to the hospital, getting her into an operating room, and the doctors beginning surgery. "Slayers heal fast. Real fast."

If anything, Willow nearly killed her since she Jedi mind controlled the doctors out of the room while they were mid surgery. And all the magics caused the electronics to go haywire, which is why the machine flatlined. Even Xander was like, "You're killing her!"
