Hello everybody!

There has been a recent influx of people going on vacation or taking leave temporarily from the boards coming on and posting their own threads saying how they are gone and will be back, then posting another thread to say they have returned. These are always greeted with their share of quick little "See you soon" style messages and together, these new threads suck up a good deal of our bandwidth and generally create clutter on the board.

As we always do, we've found a way to combat this. Instead of posting a thread saying you are leaving, please post here.

For those well-wishers, you can feel free to add karma to a random post of the departing buddy, but this is a way to keep everyone informed and hopefully, to keep everyone equally happy about the boards.

I relate so much to this. Theses last days I was less often on the boards because I didn’t like « how flippant I sounded to myself when I reread my last posts » ( sorry to quote you but you describe exactly how I feel). I totally understand you. It’s hard to tell myself that I have shown a version of myself that is very flippant and not a good representation of who I really am. I feel better now and I came back I hope it will also be the case for you 😘

It is with a lot of sadness that I have to say goodbye to you all, at least for now.

As some of you know, a massive change has occurred in my life in regards to confidence in accepting and finally being able to be myself after almost a decade of denial and self hatred. I won’t share it here for the purposes of not upsetting people, but those of you who I want to know know and I appreciate your kind words and support. There are many more changes and potential shifts in my life that require my immediate focus and attention, and to that end I have to step away for an indeterminate amount of time.

When I joined these boards, I met so many amazing people. I have made so many friendships with a great many users, some of which extend outside of these boards. You know who you are and I love you all very much. You have helped me in ways I don’t think you can truly ever know or appreciate.

To those among you who I have not had good relationships with, I apologize for my abrasiveness towards you. The boards are a place where we should be able to set aside our real world conflicts and opinions and focus on what makes us happy. I’m sure you’re likely happy to see me go, but I wish you nothing but a good life.

There is a great matter more that I could say, but for the sake of brevity, all I will say is “farewell for now”. Maybe I’ll be back someday and I’ll converse with you all again or maybe I won’t. But for now, I just need to focus on myself and my needs. So thank you all for the wonderful experience and memories you’ve given me and I wish you all the best. 💜
