She totally does - remember the tentacles on her face in Bad Eggs? Angelus in her bedroom? I'm sure I've seen a gifset somewhere on Tumblr which collects all the times Buffy is a ridiculously heavy sleeper!

I'll take your Angelus' portrayal in TGIQ and raise you EVERYONE'S portrayal in TGIQ. It's a funny episode that I enjoy alot but I just assume that absolutely everyone is very very stoned.

I agree! The it really wasn't Buffy explanation from the comics is the only thing I want to keep canon!

They're lying on more rugs, as is visible in the scene. Mostly it's for the symbolic, I expect (and the no-nudity clothes for SMG): Buffy is literally sweeping her 'dirty little secret' under the rug.

As for the underwear issue, we know Spike doesn't wear any, and Buffy wore a thong, which is pretty easy to... pull aside.

Speaking of clothes, another wtf moment would be how Angel managed to get fully dressed while losing his soul - that makes for very amusing imagery.

And I don't remember how we would know that Spike wears no underwear ever...where do we learn that? I'm curious 🙂

In a good way, I'm going to go with Dawn. That had to be a confusing week on the chat rooms. In a bad way, Amy Season 6. There's a difference between being cross with someone, and going full heel turn bad guy. Also, she was a rat for three years, how does she have a drug dealer?

Hahah I always wondered when did she visit Rack before. I can't see Amy being stoned in S2, she wasn't even evil back then. Makes no sense!

Well we have him naked a lot and everytime we see him get dressed he always directly puts his pants on. Also, on an extra-textual level, JM comfirmed it 😉

Btw sex behind the dumpster was wtf of them all. I remember I saw the gag reel of most of these scenes I think there wasn't a second where they weren't cracking up about the ridiculousness of the whole thing

How Buffy didn't get an infection? Also I just have an issue with them having sex just like that I mean where's foreplay or something. I mean it takes a lil bit more time to just...Stick it up there jeez. But that's probably the thing with all shows. Sex just doesn't look like it does in real life.

Yeah. And in Japanese culture there are lot of artefacts that work against evil spirits.
Also what does it mean in terms of existence of a Biblical god? I mean we saw that they've acknowledged existence of such gods as Osiris and etc....

Same way I never understood why in s5 preachers were able to deflect Willow's spells and etc... So what, Biblical god is a big guy in Buffyverse, then how does it fit with PTB existence ugh

Second, I don't believe that Something About Mary-thing ever happens in real life. It has never happened to me, and I have forgotten to do my laundry more than once.

It's not necessarily something that would happen every time a bloke goes sans underwear but it is something he runs the risk of every time he unzips his trousers sans underwear. It wouldn't be the whole thing that gets caught, just a bit of skin, kind of how bits of coat can get caught on the zip when it is being done up and undone.

We saw Spike wearing underwear when he got out of bed after having sex with Harmony. Noxon wanted Spike naked in the later seasons. Whoever said men couldn't be sexually objectified?

I just wanted to add to my dismissal of Buffy getting thrown out of her house in season 7...I CAN buy everyone turning on Buffy in Dead Man's Party, and in the Yoko Factor, and also Joyce kicking Buffy out in season 2. There I do get mad at the characters, because I'm immersed in it. That was such writing done right, unlike Empty Places (along with other aspects of season 7) which jarred me out of the story because it's so WTF in how forced and ridiculous it is.

I agree. They could have found a million other way to show (again) that a slayer is always alone in the end. Like we get it, nobody can understand her struggles, she has hard choices to make and no one but her can do it and blah blah blah...

Also, the fact that Faith is there and can also understand her struggle and lead as a slayer kind of make this argument pointless.
