Spike was glad that he could at last be sat up he watched as the people entered the room, then watched as they walked about the table and filled the empty seats. Spike was amazed that so many had deemed his idea so worthy, he considered his idea so good that even when his old squeeze smiled to sat down next to him he smiled to Harmony.
So many of the First were at the table, plus there were so many previous Vampire Slayers had come from their restful homes. Buffy was happy to be sat with Joyce and Dawn, together they smiled as vampires and demons sat near creatures of goodness. Spike had not imagined that so many beings of so many creeds would have heeded his call.
When all the chairs about the table had been filled Spike stood up. “We are all here to try to cease the worlds woe, we want to try to resolve the problem that is befalling mankind. Is there anyone who has a belief of what can be done to put an end to the problem the world is facing. I hope you all understand we are not here to caste blame.”
D’Hoffryn stood up, he honestly asked that all those in the room could try to work together in harmony, stopping he smiled and faced Harmony. “Sorry” “The problem is getting worse, the thanks is mainly due to those of the human kind, they have been causing more and more babies to be born each year for the last hundred years or more.”
Jenny breathed in deeply, how can we affect humans to such a way that will cause the population to be reduced in number, how can it be done so noticeably quick? Drusilla stood up for all to see, “You might say that we vampires should drain as many victims as we can but that will not make a noticeable reduction in numbers,” said Drusilla.
Darla vaguely suggested that an asteroid should be procured to hit the world as that might have the required effect, "Thinking about it though there may be to many numbers taken to not allow for the human race to be reborn. That result might cause there not to be enough humans left alive for us vampires to make good of it, that would be a loss for the human race."
Spike was unimpressed by the tales that he heard from each of them, “I suggest that we all go to where we rest for a week and think about what each of us could do to help the overall reduction in number.” He began to doubt his thoughts of keeping Angel away from his discussion, he began to accept Angel’s thoughts might have been right.
