Dear Amazon. No, your delivery driver did not hand the package to the resident. Or, at least, not the resident at the delivery address.

Now I have to wait 24 hours before I can report it as vanished because I have no idea where it was actually delivered.

Me too. They send their photo of the doorstep as proof, and it's not your doorstep!
I'm doing a Buffyverse vampire for Halloween and both prosthetic pieces came today! I got two different types just in case one didn't' get here on time, but both came well before their deadlines!

Of course, I've never done anything with prosthetics but my former theater kid self is undeterred! With this, the lenses and the fangs, I have everything, so now it's just getting the right fit on the prosthetics, doing a test drive of them both on my face and coloring them!

Very cool, good luck!
@Stake fodder Yes, the last one that went missing they said left on doorstep but it was someone else's doorstep. This one, though, it sounds like they actually gave it to someone. Just not me. 🙁 So, no photo. Though I have had stuff put through my letterbox or left on the doorstep and got the message "handed to resident" in the past. So far, I've never got a package that went to the wrong address; I guess people are just keeping them, no matter what. Good job I wasn't ordering any of those "massagers" Pinterest keeps trying to sell me. 😀

I got the same problem with the dutch delivery service, they managed to lose 4 packages for me, sometimes they are unfriendly too at the door, i yelled at one back, he retreaded and he yelled back, one happy family, lol

If UPS delivers it, we always get it. They read delivery instructions 100%. The UPS guy also waves to everyone when we are out walking. He knows all the neighbors. I think he likes his job.

If the usps delivers, half (the regular guy/gal) read the delivery instructions, and use the official USPS mail box. They leave it in the mailbox under shelter; half (the randos) leave it by the barred up door in the rain where the thieves can steal it and the rain can melt it.

Amazon is about the same as USPS. 50|50

Fedex *always* leaves it in the rain even when torrential though they must climb over the marked barrier for bigger packages and ignore 3 large signs.

So far only the grocery and USPS has sent us other people's stuff.

The grocery let (made) us keep the stuff we did not order bc they said they could not give others the food delivered to others (sealed containers, bottle of wine and bananas). Hubby got a bottle of wine. I don't drink.

Over the years the USPS has sent us some truly odd mail. One was for an address on the other side of the country. Our street name was similar to their town name. Most wrong mail is for neighbors - same street wrong # ; same #, different street; random addresses in the city, similar address wrong quadrant.... Some... Just NO IDEA! Occasionally we get two of the same item, usually a magazine. Occasionally business/govt mail. One for us. One for some other subscriber anywhere that stuck together in the sorter but not in our mailbox... We always try to get it to the right person.

It is actually amazing they get it right so often. No wonder sorters go "postal" occasionally.

Me & friend from work "voted early" this morning. My neighborhood & now specifically my street is a mess due to construction via gas company. So my friend had to pick me up & drop me off up the street. Think I'll be in Europe for this election. 😳

Huh, some kid I have never seen before so he's probably not an immediate neighbour just dropped it off!

Amazon delivery is hit and miss. A couple of weeks ago, I had a pretty big order...but it never got here. Called customer service and told them I was notified that my order been delivered...but it HADN'T. They told me to wait 24 hours and if I hadn't received it, they'd replace it. And they did.

Amazon makes it difficult to reach an actual live person, but if you're patient you'll reach someone. Actually, I'm NOT a very patient girl, but it was a $150 order and I wasn't going to let that slide.

I HATE this week i went sunday to friends to eat some pancakes, the next day i got an app she found i was interfering in their or her affairs, thats one.A man died who lived here so i asked if they knew this, she got mad that i said this and wanted this to hear from the people who are guiding us.(thats two), three: the system went out from the big grocerie store(A cyberhack?) so i couldnt order there, but a the competetion. Four: went to the dentist 2 minutes in, the rest i was waiting...im tired of all this b*llsh*t, I wish for a better week next week, sorry for me ranting but now its out of my system
