Going on tour in 2023, this is Buffy through the eyes of Spike. Its a fun retelling of the show.

Buffy Revamped - Official Production Site - UK Tour 2022
In this fast-paced new production we bring you the entire 144 episodes of the hit 90s TV show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as told through the eyes of the one person who knows it inside out… Spike.

Funny, satirical and bursting with 90s pop-culture references, it’s the perfect parody for Buffy aficionados and those who never enrolled at Sunnydale High alike.

Created by comedian Brendan Murphy whose last show, FRIEND (The One with Gunther), recently won the award for Best Play in the World Wide Comedy Awards.

Spanky was like sounds cool, until the trailer was viewed and... well... no amount of money would entice the viewing of this. It looks dreadful.

then there's this gem which just reaffirms the notion that just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should do something

This was a super popular idea with the Twilight fandom, heaps were writing the story through other characters eyes. I wonder where they got the idea from before that?

After watching one of the vids Spanky posted.... Maybe it would have been better if covid  did destroy the live comedy scene.

Depends on how long they’re going to show it, I believe.

There was a Harry Potter one that was a retelling of the Cursed Child, and I believe that one was allowed to go on without a hitch. Didn’t play for long, though.

Granted, Disney does hold the rights nowadays, so maybe this will get decimated by the Mouse Cartel

I dunno, the trailers don't look promising, but I'd give it a chance if it were playing in my town. It might have a "Compleat Shakespeare, Abridged" quality to it. Though I assume you have to be fairly familiar with the show to enjoy it, and yet if you do know it that well, you'd recognize that this guy doesn't do a good Spike impression! In my opinion, at least.

Yeah he does sound like a bad Del boy impression more than Spike.

If I wanted people to attend my show and that's the best I could manage for a trailer I'd make sure it vanished from YouTube. Now I'm worried about getting tickets as a Christmas present.

It ran at Edinburgh Fringe and got excellent reviews. In fact, all the reviews I've seen have been favourable (3-5).

I know some people who have tickets for it.

Sorry this will have limited appeal as it's only touring in the UK and Oz.

(not affiliated in anyway)

Anyone been or going?

Me and the Child are going, she want's me to dress up like one of the Gentleman and she's got like six different Buffy outfits all lined up

Is this connected to that other live show that someone (sorry, can't find it) posted a video of recently? It makes me think of "The Compleat Shakespeare, Abridged." I hope there will be bits available on YouTube eventually!
